David was more than a shepherd, warrior, and king—he was a man who captured the heart of God. His name means “beloved,” prophetically pointing toward Jesus Christ, the ultimate Son of David. David delivered Israel from slavery, envisioned a dwelling place for God, and consistently placed God’s purposes above personal comfort. Yet the message ultimately directs every eye toward Jesus, declaring that no pastor, founder, leader, or personality should become the centre of the Church.
